I'm drawn to the spaces between things—the pause before someone speaks, the questions that don't have clean answers. Too Japanese when I'm abroad, not Japanese enough at home, I've made peace with being perpetually in-between. I write, I speak, and I create from this borderland where curiosity meets a childlike wonder for what lies beneath the obvious. This is where I collect the pieces that feel worth keeping for my own record, with the hope someone might find them interesting too.
